Terms of Service
These Terms govern your use of BroadcastDeck, available at broadcastdeck.com and studio.broadcastdeck.com, and the BroadcastDeck Desktop app. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to be bound by them.
1. The service
BroadcastDeck is a remote interview studio. The host uses a desktop or browser client to schedule sessions, frame and adjust their guest's video, monitor scopes, record locally, and optionally push to RTMP destinations. The guest joins via a one-time URL in any modern browser. Media is peer-to-peer with TURN fallback.
2. Beta status
The service is in beta. Features, pricing, and limits may change. We will give 14 days' notice for any material change.
3. Your account
- You are responsible for keeping your password secret and for all activity on your account.
- One human per account. Do not share accounts.
- You must be 16 or older to create an account.
4. Acceptable use
You agree NOT to use BroadcastDeck to:
- Record, broadcast, or distribute anyone without their informed consent (recording laws vary by jurisdiction — check yours).
- Transmit content that is illegal where you, the guest, or our servers are located.
- Harass, threaten, or impersonate others.
- Attempt to bypass authentication, scrape data, or interfere with the service.
- Use the TURN relay as a generic proxy (the relay denies private/loopback peers; abuse is logged and blocked).
5. Content ownership
You retain ownership of any recordings, transcripts, or other content you create. We claim no rights in your shows.
Because media is peer-to-peer and recordings are saved locally on your machine, we generally do not have a copy of your content. You are responsible for backing it up.
6. Third-party services
You may choose to push your broadcast to RTMP destinations like YouTube, Twitch, Restream, etc. Those services have their own terms; we have no control over them.
7. Termination
- You can delete your account at any time from the dashboard or by emailing hello@broadcastdeck.com.
- We may suspend or close accounts that violate these Terms or applicable law, with notice where possible.
8. Disclaimers
The service is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or suitable for any particular purpose. Live broadcasting carries inherent risks (network outages, codec issues, etc.) — keep backups, redundant feeds, and contingency plans for important shows.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, BroadcastDeck and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or exemplary damages — including loss of revenue, data, or goodwill — arising from your use of the service. Aggregate liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you have paid us in the 12 months prior to the claim, or (b) USD 50.
10. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless BroadcastDeck and its operators from any claim arising from your content, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of YOUR_JURISDICTION,
without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute will
be brought exclusively in the courts of YOUR_JURISDICTION.
(Replace with the jurisdiction where you operate.)
12. Changes
We will post material changes here at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
13. Contact
